Morpheus8 for firmness and texture
Morpheus8 pairs fine microneedles with radiofrequency energy delivered beneath the skin's surface. The controlled warmth is intended to prompt the skin's own collagen response. For many patients that can mean firmer skin along the jawline and neck, softer lines and smoother texture, arriving gradually over the following weeks.
You may have some redness and mild swelling for a few days afterward. A session is 60 minutes; the consultation is 30.
Lumecca IPL for tone and sun damage
Lumecca is an intense pulsed light treatment. Short bursts of light are absorbed by pigment and by the small vessels behind redness, so it is most often used for sun spots, age spots, freckling, uneven tone and flushing.
Treated spots usually darken for a few days, then flake away. For most patients there is little downtime, but sun protection afterward matters, and tanned skin may need to wait. A session is 45 minutes; the consultation is 30.
Laser hair removal, planned as a series
The laser targets pigment in the hair follicle, so the hair may be less able to regrow. Because hair grows in cycles, treatment is a series of sessions spaced weeks apart. It tends to work best on hair darker than the surrounding skin; your provider will tell you what to expect for your hair and skin type.
Common areas include the upper lip, chin, underarms, bikini line, legs and back. Smaller areas are usually quick, with mild redness that tends to settle within hours. Your first visit is booked as a Morpheus8 or Lumecca consult and covers the areas, the likely number of sessions and how to prepare: stay out of the sun, and do not wax beforehand. Once you are a patient, follow-up visits are 30 minutes.
Peels for surface tone
A chemical peel applies a measured solution that loosens and sheds the outer layers of skin, which can improve dullness, mild discoloration, fine lines and texture. Peels come in different strengths; your provider chooses the depth for your skin and your calendar, since a stronger peel usually means several days of visible peeling. The first visit is booked as a Morpheus8 or Lumecca consult; mention the peel in your scheduling note.
Labs before lasers
Skin often shows what is happening inside. Adult acne, hair thinning and melasma can each have a hormonal side, and treating the surface alone may not last. Because Dr. Abboud is an endocrinologist, a consultation here can include a closer look at thyroid, insulin or cortisol when your skin suggests something underneath.
