Thirty years, then a year of study
For thirty years Dr. Abboud treated the hardest cases in hormones and weight, more than 500,000 patient visits in all. Then COVID came. She watched the healthy recover and the sick struggle, and stopped accepting that medicine waits until people are ill to help them.
She spent a year traveling and studying what actually works, then built Qua around prevention. Through all of it, one thing has never changed: listening first.
Credentials, in full
Dr. Abboud is triple board-certified: endocrinology (diabetes and metabolism), internal medicine and obesity medicine. Her endocrinology fellowship was at Northwestern, and she has held an Illinois medical license since 1991. The diplomas hang in the corridor to the treatment rooms.

Five rules we do not bend, for anyone. They apply to a thyroid visit and a Botox visit alike.
- A physician sees you. Every plan begins with Dr. Abboud and her medical team, never a sales consult.
- She tried it first. Every treatment, supplement and machine here was tested on Dr. Abboud before it was offered to you.
- Labs before lasers. We read your hormones and metabolism before we recommend anything.
- Natural, or not at all. We aim for results that look like you on your best day.
- Never rushed. Never sold. You leave with a plan and exact pricing, not a package.
Who you will meet
Dr. Abboud leads the practice. Medical visits, for weight, hormones and metabolism, are seen by her, and so are the monthly follow-ups. Aesthetic treatments (injectables, skin, body and IV drips) are given by her medical team, with every dose decided by a medical provider, not a menu.
Ask the front desk about insurance for medical visits. Men are welcome for weight loss, hormones and aesthetics.
The rooms
Qua is at 430 Village Center Drive. You come in past the marble reception desk under the gold Qua sign, into a lounge with two paintings and a gold floral mural, where the IV drips are given in an armchair. A private corridor leads to the exam and treatment rooms, from the body composition scale to the laser room and the Verju body contouring room.

Labs, history, body composition, and a doctor who listens. For injectables, the consult decides the plan before anything is done. Eligibility for IV drips and B12 is determined by the provider.
