Qua is a physician-led wellness and med spa practice, and every treatment here sits under the same house rules: a physician sees you, Dr. Abboud tried it first, labs before lasers, natural or not at all, never rushed and never sold. Where you start depends on your question. If you are tired, stuck, or your labs say normal and you do not feel it, the medical side with Dr. Abboud is usually the right first visit. If you know the aesthetic treatment you want, its consult is your first visit. If you are not sure, request a time, choose not sure, and our team at Burr Ridge Village Center will point you to the right one.
Medical care, seen by Dr. Abboud
Medical weight loss begins with a full evaluation of hormones and metabolism, adds FDA-approved medication when it fits, tracks body composition on our Body Mass Analysis scale, and continues with monthly follow-ups with Dr. Abboud. It is not just medication.
Hormones and metabolism covers thyroid disease and Hashimoto's, PCOS, insulin resistance, prediabetes and diabetes, osteoporosis and bone health, and men's health, including a low testosterone evaluation. Sermorelin and hormone pellet therapy are offered where they fit. We look for the root cause, and an endocrinologist treats it. The first visit is booked as a consultation. Hormones, PCOS care and men's health each have a page of their own.
Aesthetics, dosed by a medical provider
Injectables are Botox, filler for the face and lips, Sculptra and Skinvive, with Botox for sweating and for TMJ as well. Natural results, dosed by a medical provider: a few quick injections, minimal downtime, and a consult that decides the plan before anything is done. Skin treatments work on collagen, tone and texture: Morpheus8, Lumecca IPL, laser hair removal and peels, using technology Dr. Abboud tried on herself first. Morpheus8 and Lumecca each begin with a consult of their own.
Body contouring is non-invasive and planned around your physiology, not a brochure: Verju green laser, CoolSculpting and Morpheus8 Body, with a consult first.
IV drips and shots, in the lounge
Six physician-formulated drips, The Ultimate, Recovery, Revive, The Fit, Beauty and Immune, each 60 minutes in a quiet lounge, plus vitamin B12 injections. Whether a drip suits you, and which one, is determined by the provider rather than the menu. Read more on the IV drips page.
Medical, aesthetic, or both
The six families are not separate doors. Labs before lasers is a house rule on the aesthetic side as much as the medical: we read your hormones and metabolism before we recommend anything. A patient who came for Morpheus8 and is tired by two in the afternoon can see Dr. Abboud as well.
