A website built for everyone.
Whatever device or assistive software you use, you should be able to read this site, request a visit and reach us. If you cannot, we want to know.

DRAFT FOR LEGAL REVIEW. This accessibility statement was written from the facts in the writers' brief (WCAG 2.1 AA target, reduced motion support, keyboard operability, in-house contrast checks) and has not been reviewed by counsel or by an accessibility auditor. Before publishing: confirm every item under claims, set the statement date (the bracketed placeholder must not survive publication), decide who at the practice receives accessibility reports and the reply time, and confirm how a phone request and its $50 deposit are handled for visitors who cannot use the online form or Square's checkout.
Qua Wellness and Med Spa wants every visitor to be able to use quawellness.com: to read about the practice, to request an appointment and to contact us. This statement sets out the standard we work to, what we have done so far, where we know there are limits, and how to tell us about anything that gets in your way.
It is written in plain English on purpose. Accessibility is not a badge on a website. It is whether you, on your device, with the software you rely on, can do what you came here to do. Where this site falls short, tell us, and we will work to make it right.
Our standard
We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA. These guidelines are published by the World Wide Web Consortium and describe how to make a website usable by people with a wide range of disabilities, including people who use a screen reader, navigate by keyboard, magnify the screen or are sensitive to motion.
This is a target, not a certificate. We check the site ourselves as we build it. It has not been reviewed by an outside accessibility auditor, and we expect there are things we have missed. When we find them, or when you tell us about them, we work to fix them.
What we have done
The site is built and checked with these guidelines in mind. In particular:
- Keyboard: the site is built to be operated with a keyboard alone, without a mouse or touch screen.
- Motion: the site respects the reduce motion setting on your phone or computer. When it is turned on, animation across the site is reduced and the opening animation is skipped. Otherwise the opening animation plays once per visit, not every time you return to the home page.
- Contrast: we check the contrast between text and its background against the AA threshold, so that text is easier to read.
- Plain language: pages are written in short sentences and plain English, under clear headings, so they are easier to read and easier to hear read aloud.
Known limits
Some parts of this site, and some of the places it links to, are outside our control or still on our list of things to fix. We would rather say so than pretend otherwise.
- The $50 deposit is paid on Square's checkout page, not on this site. We do not control how accessible that page is. If it is a barrier, call us and we will take your request another way.
- The 360 tour of the practice is hosted by a third party and is visual by nature. If it does not work for you, call us and we will describe the rooms, or show you around when you visit.
- Instagram, Facebook and Google Maps open on their own sites. Their accessibility is set by those companies, not by us.
- The home page includes short videos of Dr. Abboud. They do not yet have captions. What she says in them is also written on the same page, so nothing depends on watching them.
- Ask Qua, the on-page assistant, is optional. Nothing on the site depends on using it. Anything it can help with, you can also ask us by phone or email.
Tell us about a barrier
If any part of this site is hard to use, or you cannot finish what you came to do, please tell us. It helps to say which page you were on, what you were trying to do, and what device, browser or assistive software you were using.
Call (630) 561-0590, or email info@quawellness.com with Accessibility in the subject line. You can also write to Qua Wellness and Med Spa, 430 Village Center Drive, Burr Ridge, IL 60527. We read every message and aim to reply within five business days. If you need something from this site in another form, such as having it read to you over the phone or printed in large print, ask, and we will do what we can.
The website is one way to reach the practice, not the only way. You can request a visit or ask a question by phone, and you do not need the website to become a patient. This statement covers the website itself. For access to the practice in person, such as parking or step-free entry, call us and we will tell you what to expect.
About this statement
This statement applies to quawellness.com. It was prepared on [date to be set at publication] and we will update it as the site changes. If we learn of a barrier we cannot fix right away, we will say so here.

- Tell us what got in the way
Call, email or write to us.
- We look into it
We try to reproduce it and reply.

Where the page can be fixed, we fix it. Where the barrier is outside our control, we help you do the same thing by phone or in person.
Straight answers.
You can, by phone. Call (630) 561-0590 and the front desk will take your request.
That is the aim. We build to WCAG 2.1 AA and check the site ourselves, but we have not tested it with every screen reader and browser. If something does not read properly, tell us and we will work on it.
Turn on the reduce motion setting on your phone or computer, usually found under its accessibility settings. The site follows it: the opening animation does not play, and other movement on the site is reduced. Without it, the opening animation plays once per visit.
Call the front desk at (630) 561-0590, or send a note to info@quawellness.com and put Accessibility in the subject line. The details that help us most are listed above, under Tell us about a barrier.
